HL Express has launched Domestic Select, a new domestic shipping service in Nigeria designed to provide more affordable and flexible parcel delivery options for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), online retailers, entrepreneurs and individuals.

The new service targets customers whose shipments are not time-sensitive but still require a reliable delivery network, offering a lower-cost alternative for moving goods across Nigeria.

The launch comes amid the continued expansion of Nigeria’s e-commerce and domestic trade sectors, with businesses increasingly seeking dependable logistics solutions that can help them reach customers beyond their immediate locations without significantly increasing delivery costs.

According to DHL Express, Domestic Select complements its existing domestic shipping portfolio by giving customers the flexibility to select delivery options based on their urgency and budget.

Commenting on the launch, Muyiwa Adeseyoju, Country Manager, DHL Express Nigeria, said the service was developed in response to the changing needs of Nigerian businesses and consumers.

“Businesses today need delivery solutions that are dependable, accessible, and cost-effective. Domestic Select gives customers more flexibility and choice for their less urgent shipments without compromising on reliability,” Adeseyoju said.

The service is expected to particularly benefit small and growing businesses seeking to expand their customer base across different parts of Nigeria. By providing a more cost-efficient delivery option, DHL said Domestic Select could help reduce logistics-related barriers to domestic market expansion.

Individuals can also use the service to send parcels to family members and other recipients across the country at a more affordable cost where urgent delivery is not required.

Adeseyoju said the launch demonstrates DHL’s efforts to adapt its international logistics expertise to the specific requirements of the Nigerian market.

“By combining DHL’s trusted network and operational expertise with a solution tailored to local needs, we are making domestic shipping more accessible for businesses and individuals across Nigeria,” he added.
