Chiamaka Edith Appointed Head of Supply Chain at Carlos Pharmaceuticals

Chiamaka Edith has been appointed Head of Supply Chain at Carlos Pharmaceuticals, taking on leadership of the company’s end-to-end supply chain operations as the organisation continues to expand its product portfolio.

In her new role, Edith is responsible for developing and implementing supply chain strategies aligned with business growth, leading demand forecasting and supply planning, establishing scalable processes, and managing suppliers for raw materials, packaging and finished goods.

She also oversees inventory control, warehouse operations, inbound and outbound logistics, and ensures supply chain readiness for new product introductions while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards such as those set by NAFDAC and Good Manufacturing Practice requirements.

Edith brings extensive experience in procurement, planning and supply chain management within Nigeria’s manufacturing and pharmaceutical-related sectors.

Prior to joining Carlos Pharmaceuticals, she served as Deputy Manager for Planning and Procurement at Cormart Nigeria Limited, where she developed cost-effective procurement strategies, managed supplier relationships, negotiated contracts and strengthened risk mitigation and inventory controls. She earlier held the position of Assistant Manager in the same function at Cormart.

Her career also includes a significant tenure as Senior Procurement Specialist at May & Baker Nigeria Plc, where she handled sourcing of raw and packaging materials, participated in new product development and sales-and-operations planning processes, and monitored supplier performance.

She began her professional journey at BUA Sugar, progressing from Assistant Procurement Officer to Procurement Officer, gaining foundational experience in vendor management, purchase order processing and cost control.
