n a bid to strengthen Nigeria's healthcare supply chain systems, a high-level delegation from the Lagos State AIDS Control Agency (LASCA) embarked on a strategic study tour to the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) National Supply Chain Center.

The visit, aimed at tapping into Kenya's proven expertise in health commodity management, focused on critical areas including HIV commodity procurement, warehousing, inventory control, distribution, and overall supply chain optimization.

The delegation sought to adapt best practices that could enhance the efficient delivery of essential health products across Lagos State.

During the engagement, LASCA officials held in-depth discussions with KEMSA experts, exploring robust systems and processes that enable nationwide access to life-saving medicines.

Topics covered included procurement strategies, contract management, performance monitoring, and mechanisms that promote accountability and service excellence.

A major highlight of the tour was KEMSA's innovative approaches to improving Order Fill Rates.

The delegation examined operational measures, key performance indicators, and practical solutions used to consistently meet customer demand and minimize stockouts.
