Six Continental Group Appoints Benson Mahenya as Group CEO

Tanzanian business executive Benson Mahenya has been named Group CEO of Six Continental Group as the company expands its transport, logistics, and trading footprint across East, Central, and Southern Africa.

ix Continental Group has appointed Tanzanian business executive Benson Mahenya as its new Group Chief Executive Officer, marking a significant step in the company's regional growth strategy.

Mahenya brings more than three decades of experience spanning banking, finance, manufacturing, consulting, governance, and corporate leadership.

His appointment comes as Six Continental Group expands its footprint across East, Central, and Southern Africa in transport, logistics, and trading services.

Before joining the company, Mahenya served as Group CEO of GSM Group of Companies, where he led over 3,000 employees across multiple business sectors.

He previously held key leadership roles within GSM, including Deputy CEO, CEO of the Manufacturing and Trading Division, and Group Chief Financial Officer.

He has also held senior positions at NMB Bank Plc, Standard Chartered Bank Tanzania, BancABC Tanzania, and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), building a strong reputation for driving corporate transformation, financial management, and organizational growth.
