West Africa Container Terminal (WACT) has announced the appointment of Courage Obadagbonyi MBA, ACA as its new Managing Director, marking a landmark moment in the terminal's history.

Obadagbonyi becomes the first Nigerian to lead West Africa Container Terminal as Managing Director, a milestone that reflects both his exceptional career trajectory and the growing recognition of homegrown talent at the highest levels of port and terminal operations in Africa.

The appointment follows his tenure as Chief Financial Officer of APM Terminals Apapa Nigeria, a role in which he also served as Acting Managing Director of APM Terminals Apapa.

He was equally the first Nigerian to be appointed CFO of APM Terminals Nigeria, making his elevation to Managing Director of WACT a continuation of a career defined by breaking new ground.

Obadagbonyi brings nearly two decades of senior financial and operational leadership experience spanning the port, energy, healthcare, and telecommunications sectors across Sub-Saharan Africa.

His appointment to lead West Africa Container Terminal places one of Nigeria's most accomplished finance and operations executives at the helm of a critical maritime trade gateway, at a time when port efficiency and logistics competitiveness have never been more central to West Africa's economic ambitions.
