enya's Parliamentary Committee on Transport and Infrastructure has conducted an inspection tour of Wilson Airport in Nairobi, reviewing ongoing operations and infrastructure development programmes at one of the country's most strategically important aviation facilities.

The Committee, chaired by Hon. GEORGE KARIUKI MACHARIA, Member of Parliament for Ndia Constituency, was received by TERESIA MBAIKA, Principal Secretary for Aviation and Aerospace Development, alongside Kenya Airports Authority Managing Director Moses Wekesa, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority Acting Director General Nicholas Bodo, senior government officials, and airport stakeholders.

Following a detailed briefing, the delegation toured and inspected ongoing runway and pavement rehabilitation works currently underway at the facility.

The rehabilitation is part of a broader effort to enhance safety, efficiency, and operational resilience at Wilson Airport, which serves as Kenya's leading center for domestic flights, humanitarian and emergency operations, air ambulance services, tourism, and general aviation.

The Kenya Airports Authority is currently implementing a structured, phased rehabilitation programme at the facility and is simultaneously developing a comprehensive Airport Master Plan to guide Wilson Airport's future growth, capacity expansion, and long-term modernization.
